- What We Do -
School Trip Funding
At LCH, we believe every child should have the opportunity to take part in school trips, residentials and educational experiences, regardless of their family’s financial circumstances.
School trips help children build confidence, develop independence, strengthen friendships and create memories that can last a lifetime. For many young people, these experiences are their only opportunity to visit new places, try new activities or experience something beyond their everyday lives.
Working with schools across the East Midlands, we provide funding that removes financial barriers and ensures children can participate alongside their peers.

We understand that school trips can place significant pressure on family finances. Some parents go without essentials to cover the cost, whilst some young people choose not to hand trip letters home because they worry about adding to family pressures.
Through our School Adventures Project, we work with our school partners to identify children who may need help and ensure support is available discreetly and with dignity.
By making trips more affordable, we help children access opportunities that improve wellbeing, engagement in learning, confidence and aspirations for the future.
For secondary schools, our School Adventures Plus fund provides fully funded places for a small number of students each year to participate in higher-cost trips, including visits to London, Europe and other enrichment opportunities.
These experiences can be truly life-changing, exposing young people to new cultures, new environments and new possibilities.
